At the Hollis Social Library, our goal is to be the best we can be to serve you, our patrons. Below are some of the great services that our library offers. We hope to see you soon.
Dynamic Collection
The Hollis Social Library has more than 50,000 items in the library available for check-out. This includes bestsellers, books, DVDs, graphic novels, frisbees, a telescope, and much, much more!
Interesting Programming
We offer dynamic programming for all ages including weekly story times, monthly book groups, local artist receptions, and special events.
Interlibrary Loan
If we don’t have exactly what you want, we can get it! Interlibrary loans are items that are borrowed from another library and loaned out to you free of charge. You can request an interlibrary loan at the library, online through our patron catalog or over the phone.
Musuem Passes
Take advantage of our discount museum passes to area museums. Visit your local museums for free or for a significantly reduced admission fee.
Tech 1:1 Help
Whether it’s new technology or you are new to technology we are here to help. Book a 1:1 tech session with one of our expert librarians and we’ll help you out!
24/7 Library Access
Your library card allows you to download FREE eBooks, audiobooks, movies and music. You can also access full-text magazines and newspaper articles, business information, and genealogy research right from home!
Public Computers/Wi-Fi
We are a Wi-Fi hotspot! Come into the library and take advantage of our free wireless internet access. It’s great for doing research, surfing the web, or downloading eBooks. And we also offer wireless printing! The library also offers free public use computers which are available to anyone. We also have public computers with internet access and MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Copying & Faxing
We have a copy/fax machine that allows you to copy, fax and/or scan any document or image. The cost for black & white copying/printing is $0.10/page. The cost for color copying/printing is $0.25/page. The cost to receive or send a fax is $1.00/page. Scanning is free.
