Kids Scavenger Hunt!
The Friends will be running a Kids Scavenger Hunt between October 17th and October 23rd. Entry sheets can be picked up at the library beginning October 17th.
The first 10 kids to successfully complete the scavenger hunt, and turn their sheets in at the library, will win their choice of three books at the Friends upcoming book sale!
Kids Pumpkin Decorating Contest
Calling all pumpkin designers! Decorate a pumpkin as your favorite storybook character and you could win a prize! See our awesome prizes below.
Drop off your pumpkin between 1pm and 2pm at the Hollis Social Library on Saturday, October 23rd. Drop off will be located in the library parking lot (or in the library meeting room if there is inclement weather).
Contest winners will be announced at 4pm!
- 1st Prize: $25 Michaels Craft Store Gift Card
- 2nd Prize: $15 Hollis House of Pizza Gift Card
- 3rd Prize: $10 Buckley’s Bakery & Cafe Gift Card
Kids/YA Book Sale
This is the Friends’ last book sale of 2021 and it’s all about the kids! Cooler weather is just around the corner. It’s the perfect time of year to cozy up with a good book. Make sure your kiddos don’t run out of reading material during the winter with this book sale just for them!
The book sale will be held Saturday October 23rd from 2pm to 4pm in the library parking lot (or in the library meeting room if there is inclement weather).
Who Are the Friends?
Great question! The Friends of the Hollis Social Library is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization dedicated to providing financial and volunteer assistance to the Hollis Social Library. Contributions of time and talent to the Friends and their fundraisers help fund library programming, the children’s summer reading program, and museum passes!
