Due to the Governor Chris Sununu’s declaration of a State of Emergency in NH and due to conflicting opinions on how long the COVID-19 virus lives on some surfaces, the Hollis Social Library has decided to temporarily close until May 4th.
This decision was not reached lightly but we feel that it is in the best interest of our community and our staff.
At this time, all library programs and events are cancelled through May, 4th (date subject to change). A moratorium has been placed on all fines and all items will now be due on Monday, May 4th.
We are asking, if possible, to please keep all of your items at home until we reopen. If you feel the need to return your items sooner, our outdoor book drop will remain open. However, please do not feel any pressure to return items if you are unwell. Additionally, if you or a member of your household is ill please do not return your library materials to us until 3 days after all members of your household are well again.
The library staff will still be available by email at helpdesk@hollislibrary.org to assist with access to our online resources and to answer any questions. In this time of changing information, we cannot guarantee this schedule indefinitely. Please check back frequently for updates.
