Friends of the Library

Who We Are

The Friends of the Hollis Social Library is a 501c3 charitable organization dedicated to providing financial and volunteer assistance to the Hollis Social Library. Contributions of time and talent to the Friends, and their fundraisers, help fund programming, the children’s summer reading program, and museum passes.

If you are interested in joining the Friends, please fill out our online membership form and send payment to the Friends via the Hollis Social Library.

Friends of the Library Book Sale

The Friends of the Hollis Social Library sponsor several book sales annually. Donations are accepted April 1st – October 31st at the Hollis Social Library. Please call the library if you have a large donation as storage space is limited. (Please keep in mind that textbooks published more than two years ago, VHS, magazines, and encyclopedias are not accepted. Thank-you.)

Due to COVID-19 please check with the library to see if the Friends are currently accepting donations.

The Friends of the Library sponsor a hot beverage kiosk in the library. For just $1 per cup, you can enjoy a cup of coffee, tea, hot cider or hot cocoa while you browse the library’s collection. Please ask for assistance at the Circulation Desk. All proceeds from beverage sales go directly to the Friends of the Library and help to support library materials and programming.
